Criterion A- Listening tasks to test understanding of character themes in Peter and the Wolf/ Carnival of the Animals.
Criterion B- Compose themes to match characters and situations. Exploring musical clichés.
Criterion C- Creative matching of sound with non-musical stimuli.
Criterion D- Arts process journal, self and peer assessment.
By the end of this year students are expected to be able to:
Compose themes to fit characters and situations using knowledge of instruments and musical elements.
Show knowledge and understanding of the Italian terms for dynamics and tempo.
Notate ideas and record using GarageBand software.
Demonstrate basic keyboard technique.
Investigate Peter and the Wolf/ Carnival of the Animals and identify the processes that created these works.
